COVID-19 has caused a monumental shift in the global economy with many sectors severely damaged as a result of the lockdown. Whilst the negative effects of the situation are universal, it is becoming apparent that women face specific challenges in responding to our new normal. Women make up the highest percentage of employees in the healthcare, hospitality and education sectors, all of which have taken severe economic hits.
